hi everybody,
I hope everybody had a great Christmas and a fun new year. I was gonna write sooner but I forgot how to get on this site and had to wait for Chloe to show me how again,and she was staying up on the north side for a couple of days.
First of all .I want to thank Hess, Jape ,Ed, Pylliss,Van,Cry and Kathy,Dave Hogan,Spencer ,Hope, Jill,Joni,T,C,,Pookie and Toody Billy and Vera. Strez and Toni,for their phone calls ,emails prayers and good wishes.They were so nice to recieve,thank you.Iwas prepared to do this on my own but Peggy and my family and friends have been so thoughtfull and kind ,it has made me feel very nice and very loved.
Joni sent me two cds to deal with prostate cancer and radiation with a positve mind.Thanks Joni I am a firm believer in a positive mental attitude.
Wed the 5th I have aMRI D CAM at 10 am at U OF C.Its about 45 min,in a long narrow tube which freaks ma out a little because I am very claustraphobic.I told Dr Russ and he prescribed someALPRAZOLAM.He said I should try apractice run before WED to see how the drug will affect me. Wow legal drugs to mellow me out I feel like Elvis or MICHAEL JACKSON .Who said cancer cant be fun?
I rehearsed with the Pheromoans tonight for our gig sat the 8th at the IRISH Mill in Mundeline
.We will kick ass as usual.I love gigging,I love recording I love making music.I was telling Strez a couple of weeks ago that one night it suddenly hit me HOLY SHIT I GOT CANCER.I I started to actually get scared.I was down in my basement 'one of my favorite places on earth annd I got on my drums and started to play.IMMEDIATELY I started to feel better.I started to play as fast as I could and I got such a great rush .It was wonderful.I was not scared I was alive . I felt great.Playing music always makes me feel better I am so lucky I have been able to keep playing all these years and im thankful to Peggy for putting up with it thanks PEG. When i play my drums its kinda like when I played basketball.You get into it and nothing seems to matter.You forget about everything else and just zero in on the game.Its kinda like that when I play my drums.I get into it and something magical happens the music takes over and you kin d of become one with it. Its hard to explain but its a wonderful place to be and I am so lucky I can go there its beautiful
Well I'm getting tired it has taken me about two hours to type this I suck at typing but I will get better so until my next entry thanks to all of you for your kindness .prayers and good wishes love romeboy
